Affirmative
Action is Reverse Racism
The U.S. Supreme Court recently upheld a University of Michigan affirmative
action admissions policy. Essentially, the Supreme Court is saying it's
okay to prefer certain students based on sex or race to help eliminate
sexism or racism. What kind of system is that!? I heard just the other
day that a particular individual's entire position in a local Evansville
company is to find and prefer women or black applicants for employment.
That is so this particular company has "diversity" enough
to keep Jesse Jackson from knocking at their door. Getting a job based
on merit must not be as important as getting one based on your skin
color or your gender.
How far will this go? When will it be enough to satisfy them that we
have a completely perfect representation of the real world in our universities
and businesses? Or is that objective even a worthy one? See, really
people should be outraged at all levels because you either are the person
who achieves this psuedo-success based on your skin color or you are
the person who is held back because of it. The problem should be broad
enough and offend enough people that there is a revolt against it; but
for a reason unknown to me, the revolt is minor, if existent.
I suppose much of it is due to the fact that we have been brainwashed
so much into this idea of "tolerance" (and even Arnold Schwarzenegger
is subscribing to this liberalism!) -- that to say anything that might
offend someone is wrong. Tolerating means that you don't approve of,
but allow, something. Where does the tolerance stop? It's time to stop
closing our minds and be able to see things how they are and be willing
to tell it like it is. It's also time to stand up for what you believe
in, because if we don't now, while we still have our freedoms to do
so, how much harder will it be after our freedoms are gone?
Some people will tell you, "well we are just trying to make organizations
look more like everyday America" -- what, by playing God?! The
systematic usage of racism to defeat racism is just simply racist. Our
universities should not be allowed to discriminate against us white
folk just because we are white. It's time to call Affirmative Action
what it really is, Reverse Racism. It's also time to start speaking
out against this inhumane liberal device!
